Shop for OEM Exhaust Mod

Hey Guys,

Looking for a shop that can perform the OEM exhaust mod to my e92 m3. Has anyone had this done in Richmond, VA / NOVA / Maryland?

Thanks!

Piper Motorsports in Leesburg does. Going to cost about $500 though. If you are looking for sound only, Megan is always a good option at less than $600 and about 20 plus lbs lighter than OEM.

I had a welding shop in downtown Falls Church do it. They are not a tuning shop. Still, it was not cheap. I think it cost $500 or $600.

this is probably the highest I've heard, but I'd be interested in knowing if they did a good job

I thought the welding itself was excellent. But these clowns charge $94/hr for welding. Really? I can get any Iowa farmer to do it for $20, but this isn't Iowa. And I was surprised it took them so long. Obviously, if I could weld, I would have done it myself. But there just does not seem to be a whole lot of welding involved. They did fabricate the new pipes, and that took time. And I did watch them do some of the work. I was satisfied with the result.

Anyway, if you could find a decent welder to do it for less, and it's convenient, then do it. I just did it because they're close to my house and I didn't want to fart around. And, at the end of the day, the exhaust sounds awesome and the work was definitely done well.
