High mileage 08s report in!
Anyone with a "high mileage" 20808 50,000 miles or more please report here with your mileage and any issues you may or may not have had. Also your driving style and if you track or not
My car has had a hiccup with a sensor at 24,4xx miles and im paranoid and considering getting extended warranty. After all the talks about 08s rob bearings causing the engine to blow up I am curious to know how many of us 08s has made it past 50K miles or even perhaps 100K with little to no issues. Year: 2008 March production Miles: 24,4xx No tracking, moderate to spirited driving style. Issues: wheels speed sensor and wheel bearing @ 24,4xx miles.

36k miles just got it,previous owners had no problems i checked out that rod bearing issue before i bought it and concluded that there wasn't a problem.the main ones that were being talked about had been supercharged and tracked pretty extensively.a member on here who is very knowledgeable about engines said although any engine will have some failures, these have been quite reliable.there was a serious rod bearing issue with some earlier 6-cylinder m3's. |

I have 43k miles (69500km). Only thing that is bugging me, a squeak noise coming out of the driver side door, the dealer still can't figure it out.

people shouldnt post if under 50k.. Also keep in mind, all cars need to be driven. A four year old car w/ 10k may have issues as well just from sitting. Cars need to be driven; I tell this to people all the time. And for the guys w/ 08s and under 20k, what did you buy this car for? Its' a freaking BMW not an old Cord..

43k currently. Idle Air Control Valve replaced at 15k, door lock controller replaced at 30k, Weak battery replaced at 40k, various trim pieces replaced for abnormal wear at various times. Currently driver's seat frame being replaced as it was slightly loose.
Note: I am obsessive so the trim pieces and driver's seat issue may not have been noticed by some. |

June 08 build. 41000 miles all done by me!
Fuel pump failure (warranty replacement). Headlight auto level failure (warranty replacement). It's a great all rounder, entertaining on the track, comfortable commuter and completely reliable! |

Thanks for the replies.
Wont discriminate against lower mileage 08s but if you want to share, feel free! Good to hear most of our Ms are healthy!

Finally somebody with more miles than me. 08 with 43k, third owner and I've had it for 5 months. Getting the seat belt butler repaired in an hour along with peeling steering wheel cover, all under warranty. No real issues yet. I drive it at an entry level of aggressiveness for a DD, never tracked.

2008 M3 coupe - 50500 Miles - just passed up warranty last week. 2nd owner on my car, put 20K miles on it in the past year alone (50 mile commute to work every day - hate my beater).
Only been to the stealer for routine maintenance. have not had any major issues. |

i have 54k miles on mine and it's still running strong. the only problem i've had so far was the camshaft sensor that went bad before i even hit 10k miles. i autocross my car almost every weekend and do about 3 track days a year.
