I've been running your X pipe for over a year now and I love it paired with Eisenmann Race! No drone and perfect sound!

I'm still mulling over the X pipe, which I think is the best midpipe available for this platform.
I want the power/torque gains of Stage 2, but with as little change to volume/sound as possible (I like it on the quieter side, minimal rasp), and with as much exhaust scrubbing (no smell) as possible. Assuming the same muffler (OEM, or in my case the quiet Eisenmann Sport), and comparing test pipes versus your midpipe: (1) How does sound/volume compare? Are the HJS cats and Evolve resonators about the same as the OEM secondaries and OEM resonators in terms of volume and rasp? I've read the X pipe sounds a little more refined, but I can't find any good videos to accurately compare volume and rasp. (2) How do the HJS cats compare to OEM secondaries as catalysts? And, are the HJS cats here the same as those used on the E46 M3 Supersprint V1 Section 1 midpipe? I know the cats in that application are "primaries" (or only cats) and they do a great job replacing the OEM cats in that application. I can't tell if the cats in this X-pipe are smaller or the same. Thanks! Last edited by wyatth; 11-20-2019 at 12:35 PM.. |

Thanks for your interest. Firstly I would like to point out that our X Pipe although manufactured by Supersprint has never used HJS cats. We use an Australian made cat and do so in all our exhaust products. 1) The sound is less raspy than just test pipes but have a little more volume but more tonality. It does sound more refined than just test pipes. 2) The cats are a good match for the OE secondary cats. In the UK we still pass emissions regulations (measured gasses in tail pipe) even with the primaries removed and they flow enough to support Supercharger applications north of 600 BHP. Any more questions let me know. Black Friday deals are also live now so 20% off the X Pipe and we have a couple in stock. Black Friday deals..now live on the website. No codes required. Ah thank you and not sure why I thought they were HJS! Pricing is tempting
Do you know if test pipes (just oem secondary cats) would pass the UK sniffer test? Last edited by wyatth; 11-30-2019 at 01:43 PM.. |

Curious about passing emissions. If I have Evolve HFC x-pipe on my car and load the stock tune, I won't pop a check engine light???

Was curious about the opening post saying the x-pipe can pass emissions... OBD2 monitors won't freak out? |
