JIVES M3

Hi all,

Figured I'd share my latest purchase - it's a 2009 E90 that's Jerez black on Fox Red with DCT. I've currently got a few other cars but this will take the place of my Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio for the time being. My close friend and I took a last minute flight to Northern California and enjoyed a coastal cruise back down to LA. Enjoying it very much so far. Here are some photos:

will update after a proper detail takes place, the interior is exceptionally clean for a sub 50k mile example!

I know they're different cars from different eras with somewhat different engine philosophies, but can you do a quick compare between the Alfa and e90?

Car look very good indeed, so does the old bridge! The Alfa I think also is a beauty, like the guy above, would be nice to hear a few words of comparison.

Thank you both for the kind words. I've owned every generation of M3 with the exception of the F80, even after spending considerable amounts of time with them it just didn't warrant the cost of entry when new. When I got in the sedan market, I heard nothing but great things about the Giulia Quadrifoglio and having previously owned an Alfa 4C with zero issues - I decided to test drive it an that was all it took. It handles incredibly well, feels much lighter, and is a very communicative chassis. The engine in the Alfa is essentially the 488 engine with two cylinders lopped off, much like the S65 is to the S85. That being said, there have been issues with the Alfa and I don't know the platform well enough like I do BMWs so it has to go to the dealership for them. The E90 has to be revved out which I personally love and am used to. Perhaps it's because I've had so much seat time in BMWs/E9X that it just feels right at home. Also, they both put a smile on my face for very different reasons. The only production M3 with a V8 that can be had for half the price of a used Quadrifoglio is simply a better choice. The M3 is much more tuneable in my opinion because there's more of a following and market for that. I'm finishing up my first YouTube video but will definitely make a comparison video between the two sometime next month.

Spent the day in LA with my close friends - you might recognize the LSB and E90 who are also fellow members. Got some decent shots

Damn nice collection. Also, how in the hell did you manage to get the "BMW M3" plate. I figure someone scooped that up ages ago.

much appreciated! and someone certainly did - it was on the e90 and not included in the sale but i have a saying "not everything is for sale but everything is available for purchase" and with some shrewd negotiation, the plate was included and will be staying with me! i've already got "3SERIES" on the dakar e36 and some others plates so this was the penultimate plate for me, all i need is "M3" now.
