Wanting to buy a R CRT... Plastic vs CF
Really want to place an order but I had a quick question. I've read that unless you track, it's smarter to go with plastic since this is a mod that will take some beating. My question is, which one is more durable? And is it worth dishing out a bit more for Cf if I don't track? Thanks.

Plastic/Polyurethane is usually better for taking a beating because it can be repaired easily and also tends to be more flexible/durable.
CF doesn't make any difference if you track or not. The weight difference is insignificant and at the end of the day, its all about the looks.

So why do people end up getting CF still and painting over it? Am I missing something?

Many of these lips only come in CF so we are left to paint them if we want a different finish.
