I did this to my e93 and can't get enough of the sound. Good luck with the sale.

Yeah, it sounds great with the rest of the stock exhaust components. I recently installed some test pipes and the sound was a little too aggressive for my liking.

So I'm hoping someone else can put this to good use!

What exhaust system did you end up going with?

I just went back to the stock rear section. With the test pipes and stage 2 tune, it's super quiet at idle and in normal driving, but sounds sufficiently aggressive at WOT. I'm sure it'd be way too quiet for a lot of guys, but I'm happy with it.

Was the 2 pipe too loud after a while?

Is the x-pipe stock or did you remove the 2ndary cats and resonators as well? Could you help me get a decibel read? I moved to Germany last week and finding out there are ways to pass vehicle inspection here so I'm contemplating to ship it here from San Diego.

I have test pipes, deleted x-pipe and iPE F1 muffler. If your decibel read is 95 or below while standing back 3 steps and 1 step to the side and throttle is held at 3k RPM and you let go, I'll be able to pass inspection.

2-pipe mod by itself was perfect. But it was too loud for me, once I removed the primary cats.

I don't have an easy way to test this, unfortunately. The modded exhaust is already off the car. And I don't have a decibel meter, anyway. Sorry!

actually it would just be your current set up, test pipes and stock muffler, downloading a decibel app in my opinion is fine with me

was your x-pipe stock as well?

So tempting but must resist! I had tried Borla ATAK for few months before putting stock back on as it was bit too loud for my taste and also I couldn't handle the drone at my favorite freeway speed. Been thinking about trying this approach but...

If you talk yourself into it, let me know. I can send you a video clip of a few revs, if you're curious. I never noticed drone at any rpm with the OEM exhaust mod.
