Hmm..the only electrical fan I can think of is the blower. Have you had the infamous recall done on that, or could the wires be burned just enough to generate a code..? Believe its pretty easy to check by removing the internal cover just in front of the passengers knee. (come to think of it I meant to also, dealer says they are about to call me in but doesnt seem to ever happen...).

Use the BMW software to properly diagnose it and follow the diagnostic flow chart. Don't just start randomly replacing shit.

The code also comes up as Power management, closed circuit current violation. Possibly a parasitic draw, or battery related.
