Exhaust Hanging Low - Suggestions?

Hi,

I recently switched the an MPE, but it is hanging lower than I would like. My stock exhaust before this was also hanging low. I tried loosening all connections, lifting the exhaust with a jack and then re-tighting, but it did not make a difference. I am thinking that it could possibly just be old hangers (44k miles).

Do you have any suggestions on ways to adjust the tips (and whole exhaust) up? Do I need to just buy new hangers? If so, do you just replace the larger black rubber hangers or all red rubber hangers as well?

I was also looking into these aftermarket hangers and was wondering if anyone has any experience with them: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/bmw...mw-18201401797

Attaching photos of how the exhaust sits in case it looks fine to you as is. Appreciate any advice.

That does look normal from the angle you took the picture. All the play is in the vertical slots where you bolt the exhaust hangers to the small frame that attaches to the car.

Appreciate the input. When you say the small frame that attaches to the car, do you mean the one that is closest to the rear of the car (with the metal bracket and red hangers)? Or are you meaning the larger black hangers that have two bolts on each side and are closest to the muffler cans? Thanks!

It does look a little lower than what it should be-check the hangers and make sure something isnt wrong there. 44k is still fairly low miles but anything is possible!

I was thinking of the small frame in the back center, but I have not touched mine in 5 years so memory could be fuzzy. Seems to me there was only the one place to adjust height. I had to make an ajustment there to get mine straight.

I think its wise to buy new hangers anytime doing an exhuast install. Not sure if that would help your issue for sure but it wouldn't hurt. I bought all new red hangers when I swapped exhausts and they were fairly cheap and worth it. My exhaust doesn't even budge when I try to move it.

I have one side doing what yours is on both. Mine exhaust is tight and close to the bumper on one end and sagging on the other. I've checked the mounts and the side that is hanging has a broken one. I'd just replace both mounts if I were you. That's what I'm doing to fix the issue.

Looks normal to me. Maybe we're not used to looking at the exhaust while laying on the ground so when you do it looks off? I wouldn't worry about it
