2008 Honda Accord Coupe Pics: WOW !!!

Hello To All,

Looks like the new accord coupe will leave the Altima Coupe and Camry Solora Coupe in the dust with this car!!!

I am amazed at how Honda did not stay the normal borring route with this desighn.

I think this is just WOW:thumbup:

Now the rumer is the car is going to be getting a Turbo engine and a version of SH_AWD.

If the price is under $35k with Navi and all the good stuff. I think this will be a real winner!!!

Nice Job Honda:thumbup:

What does everyone else think?

This being a concept - not bad. I do prefer the Altima Coupe overall, however.

I doubt it'll get the quad exhausts - otherwise, if they stick with the concept it should be a good competitor. The only gripe I have is the look around the grille area - looks the like the flow just stops and switches from an organic lines to solid blocky ones.

Btw. I would think SH-AWD will probably be applied first on the TSX, TL before going to Honda.

Looking forward for the production version.

this design really makes the Accord look like a RWD but since that is very far-fetched i feel SH-AWD will be available

a definite step-up from the current accord, that's for sure. let's see how much of this concept actually makes it to production...

it has the pieces of Scion, Altima coupe, etc... Nice, but still the Accord. As for the $35k comment above...anything over $28k would be super expensive...

I like it rear end reminds me of this though:

At the moment Honda only have a fairly unsporting 2.5 litre engine in the UK spec accord, in fact the 2.2 cdi diesel is the fastest car.

I would have been quite tempted by one if they offered a proper accord type r.

i have to join you on that. unless it's some crazy hybrid, i'd definitely not pay anything over $25-$28k for it. with a $35k price tag for a coupe, they'd already getting into accura's territory.

Lets take a look the current accord EX-V6 with NAV.

at $30095 MSPR. so Add the SH - AWD and Turbo. I am Guesstaming $32-$35k for the new car... and plu Camrys go up to about $35k. so the above comments about 25-28k is not even going to happen for the current generation model. looking at MSRP numbers only.

Thank you.

Looks nice. Quad exhaust and a stronger V6 engine. I'd bet around 280+hp, considering that's where the Camry is. I wonder, in 14 years when my son is old enough to drive, will the average car on the road have 500hp and go 0-60 in 4 seconds?

I've always wondered/pondered as well.... horsepower is getting cheaper

I think the accord concept looks promising. The SH-AWD system is a winner. Its just amazing how cars (at every level) are getting better, I think you'd be hard pressed to find a really really bad car on the market today irregardless of price point.

I like the design, but I have to agree with the other guys in that if the price is $35k for a "loaded" version, then that's way too much. It's like the people spending 40k for a loaded maxima...

the current accord ranges from $20k to $29.5k (pimped-up ex-v6 w/ nav). you can't take the high point of this range, add $5k to it and say that's a legitimate price estimate of honda's upcoming model.

all i'm trying to say is that to pay $35k for an accord when you can get a better-equipped acura TL for the same price is completely ridiculous and that is why i said it simply wouldn't make sense.

and as far as i know, camrys only go to about $26k, and that's for a hybrid!!!

I really like it! The grille is a tad bit too much square but overall a huge improvement. I think this is pretty close to the production model. Notice no weird lights, weird door handles, no super huge wheels. The only mod seemed to be tint.
