Paddle shifter recommendations?

Still trying to figure out "quirks and features" of my recently added DCT M3..

One pending necessity for change are the paddle shifters. When the car accelerates or is subject to lateral G, I cannot pull the paddle shifters because they are too far away & short in length. Any recommendations for extensions?

I don't think it has to do with the seat position as I'm comfortably putting my hands around the center of the steering wheel. It appears the issue seems to be paddles being too close to the center hub rather than being on the outer edge of the steering wheel. It is impossible to reach them coming out of a corner full throttle so I find myself using shift knob.

your seating or hand position (or both) is incorrect.

Hmm, maybe I am just not using to DCT yet. I had no problem with my seating position driving on a race track or doing gymkhana with 6MT. And I do have small hands...

what is it that you think new pedals are going to do, besides maybe look better? there are very few tracks where you have to shuffle your hands off the 3 and 9 position.

I reckon if it stretched far enough to the edge of the steering wheel, while having a bigger reach top and bottom like that of Maserati/Ferrari paddle shifters it will give me better access and less annoyance.

pretty sure you're asking about upgraded paddle shifters

Pedal Haus makes quality extended paddle shifters and offer a couple options

This. Should be very rare for hands to deviate from 3 & 9. No shuffling, as consistent hand position creates the muscle memory of always knowing precisely how much steering input is dialed in.

I think I do more of a gymkhana/backroad than wide open tracks these days. I'll take a video later in the day if I can.

I usually enjoy driving in tight mini tracks. Not an M3 but my good old Z3 on Suzuka South.

Gymkhana a while ago with my 6MT:

Yup, you made your point. You need a spinner "suicide" knob with shifter buttons!

Innovative. I still feel this could be an issue on tracks with low speed corners.

I have them, definitely better than the stock and I can shift basically from any drivable hand position
