Dealer says Production underway, but!

Did you get your production date. Only 3 weeks left in June

No production date. Between me and the salesman we check 5-6xs per day. I don't know what's going on. Anyone else in my predicament?

if your dealership has an allocated production slot...then it will happen.

i know it's nerve racking, but with a few weeks left, you're not going to have to wait long.

Yes, I am also in this predicament, but perhaps a little different, I placed my order in late Febuary.

My current status is 112- "Scheduled for production with no confirmed production date yet"

Is your car an Individual build?
I wouldn't worry, as Hyperjack mentioned, every production order will be fullfilled by BMW.
As this is my fourth e92 M3, I'm thinking of it this way: I was lucky to get one of the first (March '08) and now i'll be sure to keep one of the last...

Mine isn't an individual build yet but since I've been waiting so effin long I want to change something. I wonder if they will let me, but they haven't made it so why not try. I really would like it before it mother effing snows.

If you are stil in 112 status you may be able to still change. Depending on the change.

I wanted to change the color to Singapore grey metallic but Im not sure they will do it. Dealer says no off the top of his head.

if you just got a VIN#, then the car is in production or moving towards that in days.

4/24 150 Production started

4/30 151 Entry Body Shop

5/2 152 Entry Paint Shop

5/3 153 Entry Assembly

5/3 154 Assembly

5/3 155 Assembly finish/Quality Check

you're still waiting on your Vin#, right?

it's that contrasting stitching you asked for ....they're really taking their time to get that right. i bet that's what's taking so long.

but, your wait is almost over as we near to the end of June. i think knowing that your car was closest to the end of production will be an added benefit to you....it'll be that much more cooler.

can't wait to see it. that combo is going to be stunning. actually ,being local to you, i hope to see your car at a meet sometime.

Production is complete and its ready to ship! Can't wait!!
On a side note I think I figured out why mine took so long to go into production. I went by dealer and saw a new frozen blue M3. I believe mine was bumped back for this one. Dealer prob only had 2 more allocations. I don't know for sure.

Here's my experience so far:
Signed the papers 5/3.
Took dealer about 10 days to secure allocation. ~5/14.
Scheduled for production 1st week of June.
Entered production 6/5.
Paint status 6/12.
Production status '182’ on 6/14. Released to carrier.
Production status '190' on 6/17. Dispatched to export (port)
Where it's been since Tuesday 6/18 gathering dust with no update from dealer or BMW, grrrr.
Hope to see some movement soon.
