PNW North Cascade Drive, Sunday Aug 7

Planning a Sunday morning drive up North Cascade HWY if anyone is interested in joining. Last time it was still closed at Diablo Lake, hopefully we can get more in this trip.

If anyone wants to roll, we can meet at the Marysville Walmart on HWY 9 at 0800 Sunday morning. We should head out by 0830 to avoid too much traffic.

Undecided on how far we will go, but would love to have others join in.

Last drive was pretty epic . . .

Terrible timing. Sunday is my daughter's birthday- so I need to be home for that.

Looks like a great drive! Take plenty of pictures.

I agree! That was a real eye opener. I never really get to explore 5-8k. Great fun, even at posted limits 😉

Looks like a great time! I would have loved to make the drive but needed to prep my yard for a concrete project kicking off this week. Yeah, the 5-8k RPM range is downright intoxicating. I did a high performance driving event in my e93 last year. Although the e93 with top up is a turd in the corners and my co-pilot was a curmudgeon (a retired traffic cop/now driving school instructor with no interest in motorsports - it was like learning how to have sex from a nun), those endless laps at 8k rpm were almost enough reason to do it again in the e90.

Agreed. How long were you guys driving? Did you loop through Leavenworth?

SnohoRaptor I just moved to Duvall. My favorite little driving road is Duvall to Snohomish via Tolt Hill road.

No Leavenworth this trip, we took North Cascades HWY out of Arlington and turned around in Twisp. It was about 8 hours
