Stupid regulations and high gas prices killing the NA engines. It's sad to see. I am glad to have driven the E46 CSL and the E93 M3's (and the E60 M5 for that matter). May the BMW NA engines RIP.

What e36 steering wheel doing on E30 M3? Replace it, M-tech II wheel is good choice.

I wonder how his opinion would have differed given the euro cars, where the engines don't fall so neatly into two camps :hmm:

As the e36 and e46 have damn near identical chassis designs and the S54 is very much a tweaked S50B32... very similar cars.

They all looked so good. Glad they had MT for all of them too. I thought it was really interesting to call the E46 the predecessor to the E92 vs the replacement for E36.

Agreed, my first M car was the e36 though and I have the same sentiment about that particular car! I am actually looking at adding an e36 back to the collection, prices are really low compared to all other M3s. Does anybody own both here?

Not sure why the guy in the video spoke like it's the end of the M3 era. I like to think the next M3 will be another milestone continuing the M3's journey. Let's just hope BMW doesn't F it up with the next M3 generation.

The best all around car in the world is an F10 M5 6MT...one of the best driving experiences an E9X...
