How can the TPMS fit in small valve hole??

I just brought the new set of BBS LM for my E92 M3 . When i bring it to wheel shop, they told me the valve hole is too small, and will not fit the OEM TPMS. The shop ask me to drill other hole inside to fit the TPMS. will this work?? Did any one of u have the same problem??
i am locate @ So. CAL. Did any know any shop can fix this?

Yes, BBS put the hole usually on the step in the lip and their valve stem is smaller diameter than OE. You have the choice of drilling another hole in the drop of the wheel or using a "strap" kit to strap the sensor around the barrel.

What is the "Strap" kit looks like? When i purchase the BBS from tirerack, I did purchase the TPMS kits from them. The tire shop said the kit is not used.

Is this kit correct or other different thing? Do you sell the "Strap" Kit??

No, that's not it. The strap kit goes around the entire circumference of the wheel barrel to hold the TPMS sensors, when they can't be mounted to the tire valve because of the wheel's design.

Just call your local tire shops. Someone will have it in stock. The "strap" is basically a meal band that wraps around the inside of the wheel and holds the TPMS is place. Not the most elegant solution, but it works.

The "strap" kits are usually just a huge hose clamp with a bracket that holds the TPM in place. The problem is they are prone to loosen and damage the sensor.
