Oil Leak
Today I noticed my m3 had been leaking oil since the night before. I had the vehicle inspected by a BMW mechanic / specialist 2 weeks ago right after I purchased the vehicle.
The oil is leaking below the left headlight and back about a foot on the undercarriage, as seen in the pictures. It's a 2013 with 60k miles. I was wondering if anyone had some insight as to what is causing the issue. I'm having it checked out on Monday but the car is driving normal otherwise. Please excuse me for being less educated on the mechanics of my vehicle as i'm trying to learn as much as I can. Any help is appreciated. |

If the color of oil is light yellow, it could be power steering fluid, especially since the steering rack boot is soaked. The joint where steering rod meets the rack is known to leak in some cars, heard it's non serviceable. Check power steering fluid level too!
