Trying to work a deal...

Trying to work a deal on the '08 M3 considering the great financing. Dealer has told me $24K trade in value on a '06 335Ci with performance package, Imola Red, black leather interior with 13K miles. ("...have been 6 of these run thru the auction with performance packages selling for $22,000 and $23,000 so giving an extra $1000 for the lower miles, the $23000 was red and black interior with 18,000 miles.")

I've heard people comment on the auction sites as reference. Can anyone confirm that this is an accurate valuing based on auction?

Thanks.

The dealer can print out the results of the recent auction listings. Just ask for the documentation from your dealer. $24k sounds like an absolute beating though. Were I in your shoes, I'd probably just hold onto the 335i for awhile.

I agree, seems low. Worse case scenario is I wait and order an '09 exactly how I want it. Don't get the great financing, but I get THE car I want. Maybe providence, considering the economy...

My '09 is arriving in two weeks, but even though I have a secure job and plenty of cash and savings, I may not take delivery for a bit to see how this plays out.

Can you get an '08 similar to your order?

In the back of my mind, I'm wondering if there may be an opportunity for an '09 that was vacated by someone who jumped on an '08. Seems like a lot of people are thinking about it. Just a thought. Maybe an option further down the road.

How do you delay taking delivery? Isn't it either you pick it up when it gets here or you give it up. I can see waiting a week or so but to hold off any longer than that would be no so cool.

Does anyone have access to Manheim (or other auction site) to look up the auction sales?

Are you sure you dont mean 2006 330Ci performance package? I think you might be a little confused about the 335i. If the dealer is offering you 22k for your 330ci I might take it to be honest. They offered me 25k for my 05 M3 ZCP with 25k miles.

Yes, pm me if you need to find out something. What model car, how many miles, and what region you want to check for.

You're right. Typo... It's a 330Ci with the performance package.
