I just bought a 2009 e92 M3 with 89,000 miles but I want to go ahead and get the rod bearings done immediately. I live near Chattanooga TN and go to college in northern AL, are there any shops near me that are known for doing the rod-bearing job and won't charge an arm and a leg? I'll drive a good ways if the shop has a reputation for the job and a good price. If I can't find one I'm debating this place in NC (I think) that the previous owner recommended to me when I bought the car off him because he got a quote for about $1200 for the labor.

There's definitely good shops in Huntsville. I had mine done in Birmingham, but when I asked around, people recommended a few in Huntsville.

Lemme know if that's doable, and I can find the places which were recommended to me.

Huntsville would be great that's actually where I'm at right now. Yeah if you could do that that would help a lot thank you so much.

When I was living in Knoxville, I had European Auto Garage (https://europeanautogarage.com/) perform a fair amount of work on my Audi's. Not sure how much experience they have with the S65 and RB's, but I'd give them a call.
