I can't quote from my phone but I'm replying to Joe.
I have to disagree, I don't think the stupid names add anything to the discussion. It pointlessly makes us angry at each other and then we end up arguing like this instead of offering the OP any help whatsoever. |

not quite - but apparently this guy put 22" on an e46.....
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2204626/1999-bmw-m3 And to the OP - yes I ran 20" on a 335i with 30 profile front 25 profile rear, the rears got pretty mashed on our roads around london. for the m3 last year bought bbs cx-r's which are love em/hate em - again on 25 profile rear - both didn't survive more than 4,000 miles...got replacements and am going to put 30 profile on the rear..which i know will fit...these will be mainly for summer and posing...standard 19"s for every day use and in winter the standard 18"s with winter tyres....

20 inch wheel buyers are slaves to fashion.
Those rubber bands are starting to look a little dated. Are you still going to be running 20 inch wheels in 10 years when they are no longer in fashion? Sorry for being such a hater; but it's fun sometimes.

Yea, initially when this thread started I was a little upset that 'Radiation Bob' over here was being a little disrespectful to all the 'Slaves to Fashion' but it actually ended up being pretty funny . Even a little educational for me... |

I'm not a fan of 20 inch rims, but why couldn't this thread be about members posting pics of their M3s on 20s? Then we could all have a nice 20 inch wheel reference thread with pics. Now all this is a childish flame fail thread

Every generation of M3 has increased the easily runnable wheel up size by 1". E30-17", E36-18", E46-19", E9x-20". Don't hate. I can't wait for the generation after next where I can run duece deuces. Just kidding...or am I...

Those wheels are 9" and 10.5" wide, right?
I guess the Conti P5 are pretty narrow then.
