How do I know the car had the 1200 mile service done?

My CA told me that my 1200 mile break-in service was performed at the
VDC, since I had a bunch of things installed there. (The car had 968 miles back then)

The iDrive car info seems to indicate that is the case: next oil change, 15K;
next service, 15K... all systems ok.. but how do I know for sure? Are the
readings in the car service enough since I dont have any papers for it?

just wondering

You should be able to request a copy of the service records of your vehicle. In my case the warning came on at around 800 miles so if your service indicator came on I am not surprised to hear the just went ahead and did it at the VDC...

My service and warranty book (page 7) was stamped with a 1200 mile service certification by the dealer and I received the invoice

I was told to check the oil cap and make sure there is no funny colored oil condensation under the cap...there is a dye in the initial oil BMW sends the car out with...its either green or blue?!? I think.

Any dealer should be able to pull the service history. Mine was actually performed at 471 mi when it landed stateside after ED :/. I didn't even drive it that hard in Europe - but the oil change interval was reset and it shows up in the records. I may do one myself before the annual one.

Your current dealer can 'read' your key and your service records will pull right up assuming the service was done by BMW. Good luck.

All carfaxes show if it is done as well. When I bought my car, the carfax was provided and showed the exact mileage it was performed at as well as the date.
