Error codes 2B0D & 2B57. Changed ICV already

Hi All,

Been having an issue with the car. It's been going into limp mode right when I start it up and throws the codes 2B0D, 2B57, and 5E19. The idrive showed a bunch of error messages as well. I tried driving it around the neighborhood, but the car just did not want to go and jerked violently. I ended up changing the ICV since I figured 2B0D pointed to that, but it didn't fix the problem. Car also seems to idle fine without issue. Anyone else run into this issue? It does not throw any other codes.

Note: car has a VF sc if that makes any difference.

Thanks in advance.

1- how old is the battery
2- have throttle actuators been done
3- low pressure fuel sensor possible culprit

Did you install the SC out a shop? Could be a simple and slight vacuum leak from the rear of the idle control valve tube to the backside of the plenum. Make sure that fitment is secure. Check hose for tears.

The fact it idles in steady state would suggest the CEL is tripped when the little leak cracks open.

Does the car hiccup at stop lights or going to WOT? Or the light simply comes on?

Lastly would be worth clearing the idle adaptations once you have this resolved.

The battery is only a couple of years old, so I don't think it's that. Original throttle actuators (50k miles). Don't they usually throw a different code when they go bad? I'll go through and check the hoses again. The issue just randomly showed up one day and it originally went away after a restart. But now it just goes into limp mode every time I start it up. It occasionally revs up to 3k rpm right at startup, as if I have my foot on the gas while starting it. How do I clear the idle adaptation?

If it's reving, it's idle issue. You replaced the ICV with a new part? I think it's vacuum leak if it's happening that quickly / consistently. I had this same issue (SC'd as well). Replaced ICV, breather valve, and MAP sensor because it's such a pain in the ass to remove the SC plenum.

I didn't test the ICV, just replaced it. Probably should've because I think mine was vacuum leak. I took off the hose from the rear of the ICV and checked for leaks. Made sure it was orientated to get max length and thereby minimum tension on the end that connects to the plenum.

You have to use ISTA to clear the idle adaptions.

002B0D Idle-Speed Control Value Monitoring invalid value.
this code is tied to multiple conditions, all pointing to idle actuator
#1.

002B47: Mixture control, Lambda adaptation, cylinder bank 2
DME: Misfire impairing exhaust emission, cyl 6.

005E19: Lots of pointers to DSC control, but no further details available. I
suspect it's a result of your above condition.

Yes, I replaced it with a brand new ICV. Checked the hose in the rear to the plenum and no leaks either. Not sure what else it could be hmmm...

Sorry, I meant 2B57. Edited it in the original post.

002B57 is DME mass or volume airflow A mass too high.
Determine if vacuum leak check connections replace sensor.

MAP sensor. If you managed ICV this is easier. A bit tight but manageable.

So I got ISTA-D running and tested the map sensor and ICV. Both came back without issues. It reads about 1000mbar when engine is off and about 300mbar at idle, which seems about right? I did notice that at idle, it shows that the ICV is closed and throttle bodies are slightly opened (1%-2%). Any idea if this is norrmal?

Ended up to be a bad tune by TTFS. Flashed it back to VF's tune and cars working again.
