Arrow <3 BMW Service | 2012 128i Rental

Went to the local dealer to get some work done on the M and they gave me a 2012 128i rental with 600 miles on it. Jesus!

Opened the dash to find the cars original sticker. It's a pretty snappy car, the 135i must pull hard!

Thank you BMW & Hertz Rent-a-Car

Garage List
I've always wanted to drive a 1 series, seems like a really fun car to bounce around town in. I always get 3s or X5s, the diesel 335 I had the last time really impressed me though.

the 128/328 are aggressively geared to favor the 1st and 2nd gears. Really short but in turn pull really hard! You notice the lack of power in 3rd and beyond, especially at freeway speeds. I had a 530 with an n52 engine and the 528/328 pulled harder in 1st forsure and 2nd because of shorter gearing. After that the advantage was clear but the aggressive gearing makes them really nice bargains for city driving.

Plus that is a real joy to drive. Best Non-M engine IMO. N52 has the most linear pull I think I have ever felt.

Make sure you have some fun and pull to 7k. Makes a glorious sound and great feel. I wish I had a 530 still. Really fun engine.

That thing will be the turbo 4 soon and that will really move!

I've got a brand new 335iD and last gen 550i as loaner. IMO those are better than the 128i no?

Personally, I think it's pretty ugly. The 135i is fun to drive though.

Wow amazing story...what the hell does that have to do with his post? Why do you waste time and actually clicking, typing a reply and then it has nothing to do with the question or topic.

I've gotten a 335 loaner before. Always wanted to drive one, and it has great pull. Torque on the 335 is pretty strong. Never driven a 135, but I bet it's fun little car despite its looks.
