2 months and 3k miles later I have had to wipe about 40 handprints off my windows after leaving my car in a parking lot too long. Why can't people just look and not touch? My tint is not even dark.

3. Rattles in rear window area.
4. Soft paint. Considering the way this car has been babied with low miles and meticulous upkeep. Stone chips are out of control.
I had a Subaru like that. It turned to be too much freon in the A/C system. The evaporator would freeze solid on humid days and air couldn't pass though it. I would have to turn off the A/C and keep the fan running until the hot air thawed the evaporator. Once thawed, it would work again until the it froze again. The dealer removed all the freon and then filled it to the correct level. Never had the issue again. Its something you might want the dealer to check the next time you take it in for service.

And thats it -
Bro i had this issue before, then dealer replaced the 1st and 2nd gear then test drove the car was still the same then end up replacing the entire tranny.

Maybe it's me psychologically blinding myself from issues but I'm thinking these cars are generally not so problematic. Speaking relatively of course, considering it's not a Toyota or Honda or something...

Makes me feel even warmer inside as my time to buy approaches.

My 2011 sedan has 5500 miles and no issues so far. It is nice to have a car that doesn't take 2-4 weeks vacation each year at dealership island (my Audi lived part-time at Champion Audi).

2011 M3 DCT:

Have had numerous engine stalls as in completely shuts off...but starts right back up! This has happen 4X and they cant find anything.

Also have the dreaded ticking/knocking syndrome. First visit to the dealership they did verify the noise. PUMA case started and engineer response was to re-tourque the bedplate bolts. This was done on the second visit. When I went to check on the status of my car, the technician was just returning from a test drive. He tells me that the ticking/knocking is gone. I wasnt so optimistic, so he says lets go on a test drive. We go on a test drive and I take the car behind a local grocery store where it is somewhat quite and a fence line to where we could easily here any noise. It took about eight passes at slow speed but it finally did it and the technician did once again confirm the noise.

Technician elevates the PUMA case again and the engineers come back with: Wait for it....CHANGE THE CRANK SHAFT and BEARINGS!!! This of course has generated a third visit at which point the car is at the dealership now. The new Crankshaft and associated bearings arrived last week. As a side note: The second engineering response took less than 24hrs to receive. I have a feeling that the engineers understand that "SOME" S65 engines have substandard bearings!! My car has 10,831 miles clocked so far.

I will keep everyone posted.

I've driven an '08 and '09 and found they both had quite notchy 2nd gears. That's why I've opted to order a new one. Amazing to hear that trannies have been replaced. So, how is the shift to 2nd with the new tranny? Significantly better? I understand these don't have CDVs anymore, so that can't be the issue.

2011 E90 with about 5k miles. Just had it at the dealership to check out the loud rubbing noise coming from the rear during low speed turns. They changed the diff fluid as per the TSB. Of course as soon as I drove it off it made the sound again but they did say it would go away.

Other than that, no issues.

2011 E92 DCT , 4500 miles

engine rpm drop down and not stable when start engine, the first time I notice it in 2weeks after I pick up my car from dealer, problem still have now, happened almost everytime if I do as below

1 normal driving until the engine oil temperature stick on middle

2 park car turn off engine

3 after 1-2 hour, start the engine again.

4 count exact 90 second(every time happened right on 90 second after engine start ,I test it 10 times at least), engine rpm will drop once .
check the video
,
also, some time the engine speed will up and down for several time like the video(this video is not my but same problem)

And , I always pump gas from Chev and Shell,Mobile , always 91 , never 87 or 89.

that's all the problem to now

went to dealer twice, dealer said it is normal, bring car back until the engine stall or the problem get worse..
