resonator delete Q

Has anyone done a resonator delete but kept the exhaust stock (including muffler). What did it sound like, again with the stock setup?

I read on forums that aftermarket, or no muffler, it sounds like death. I want to know if it sounds ~the same on an otherwise stock exhaust, so I can do this with valvetronic/exhaust bypass setup.

The exhaust is composed of the headers, xpipe which has four cats, and the rear section (muffler). Not sure what you are talking about regarding resonator delete as these cars don't have any.

Regardless, there are tons of YouTube videos of different exhausts on these cars you can listen too. Sound is subjective so you may think something sounds good that I hate so you need to decide for yourself.

I don't think anyone would go through the trouble just to delete the resonators only.

These M3's absolutely have resonators. They're at the end of the X-pipe after the secondary cats. Removing them changes the tone to more raspy and a little drone. I'd remove the secondary cats before I removed the resonators.
