Uber should be paying for a full detail.

Also in NYC it needs to be 2010 and up I believe and special plates, TLC plates which is different registration class and will show up on Carfax.
A lot of these points are why we carpool into work with her car frequently. We save about $300 just in gas by taking solely her car instead of hers + the M3 separately.

I don't see any financial benefit in Ubering a car like this unless you normally drive aimlessly and you want to recoup a small percentage of your running costs. As an example, and I am not kidding, four of us piled into a brand new Buick SUV of sorts (my guess is $45k+ with the way it was optioned) for an Uber after a night out at a few bars, and the grand total to take all four of us about 5 miles?

$0.67

Of course this isn't the norm, but even with their "surge pricing", I see this not gaining you any cash.

the only way i could see uber being significantly profitable is by using a car like a chevy bolt and hanging out around a free charging station.
take someone for a ride, then return to the station until your next fare. repeat.

i enjoy using uber, but about one in four times i've used it, the person was kinda weird or smelled.

Expanding on that idea...

I was thinking it would actually make sense to get a used Chevy Spark EV for $5k and just do uber eats food delivery with that 1 to 2 weekends a month.

Heck get a whole fleet of cheap short range EV's and get college students to drive them for food delivery... hmmm

I've locally seen an e93 M3 on Turo (not currently listed) which made me wonder if it might be someone here.

There is also the wishfully priced M4 below:

he says people often ask him to punch it in the m3 and he gets a kick out of their reaction

No not a good idea. The S65 is to thirsty and you do need a E90 as Uber requires at least a 4 Dr. unless you're doing just delivery. Also you didn't say what market you are in. I UBER occasionally and actually bought a 2015 Ford Focus to do it.

I've Ubered with my E90 M3...twice about two years ago after I had just bought it and was learning the layout of Vegas. Just for kicks.

Naturally got nice car compliments on both times.

The first time an old bro with a cane got in with his daughter. He struggled on getting in and what to do with the cane though.

The second time I scooped up two bros from what was then the Monte Carlo (now Park MGM) and dropped them off by Silverton Casino. They kept asking if I was really an Uber.

Decided to retire from Uber after that.

And now, the rest of the story.....
When I contacted Uber I was told I needed a four door car and a smart phone. I had neither!

These cars get 12mpg in the city, probably worse full of people.

But sure, go for it.

As far as using my car for UBER or LYFT? You fucking kidding me? It already gives me anxiety to have my girlfriend or friend in the passenger seat. Yes, I keep my car OCD clean.
