Need help amp

Hello,

I bought an E92 M3 recently and the amp is broken from water damage unfortunately from previous owner. I have the yellow cones, which I’m pretty sure is the upgraded sound system. It is a 2009 M3 Comp (non-zcp) idk if that matters.

What amp do i need?? HELP PLEASE

Yellow cones are Individual Audio. You can take out the damaged amp and match part numbers on realoem.

Individual audio? What does that mean? Is it the upgraded system of the base?

I doubt your car is a comp. That package wasn’t offered in that model year. Individual Audio is an option level for the in car electronics. Realoem.com and google are your friends.

Also you will want to track down the source of that leak. PNW rain will just kill the next one you put in.

Comp implies competition package which you don’t have and others have corrected you on already.

Basically, he was installing LCI taillights and had the trunk open. He went inside for a little bit to eat or something, it just started to rain and got a little water on it and fried if unfortunately.

A lot of people install new tails and neglect to put new gaskets on. They’re little foam gaskets that often get torn. Check to make sure they’re present. They can also let water into the trunk area.

I’ll take a look at it when I go to find the part number of the amp. Thank you for the help, also your M3 is so clean man👍🏼
