Recommandations for my E92

Hey guys I just would like to get your opinion about my E92 M3's exhaust setup.

It currently has Non resonatedTest pipes (track pipes match schnell), custom mufflers, and it still has the OEM X pipe.

It has AA tune with burble option on, Dinan DCT tune and K&N drop in ail filter. I haven't dyno it yet but it feels pretty fast but I would like to make it push it around 400whp before I see the dyno result.

So I am thinking to do custom X pipe and instead of drop in air intake I would like to get AFE intake or something similar to that intake setup.

Do you guys think that after all small mods it would be pushing 400whp?

Thank you all in advance.

you'd be pretty close. maybe throw in a pulley if hitting 400 is really important to you.

Most cars with all the bolt ons end up in the 370 to 390 rwhp range SAE on a Dynojet. A very small number are in the 390-400 range and only a handful have broken 400 rwhp.

You would want full catless x pipe, intake, pulley and 93 pump tune. And even then your car could be one of the higher performers or one of the lower performers.

I have all the bolt on mods and they really woke my car up, but I have never put it on a dyno. Probably in the spring. I’d like to think it’s pushing 400 but it may be only 375. Trap speeds on a drag strip are another indicator of power - probably more reliable than a dyno since dynos can vary.

Many factors go into what numbers one will achieve on a dyno. As many bring up all the time, it's ultimately the difference in power gained with the modifications you do that matter the most.

We've seen 100% stock E92 M3s dyno anywhere in between 330-360whp on the same DynoJet on the same day. All of them in similar mechanical condition and fuel too!

From our many years of testing and developing parts for this car, no doubt that pbonsalb hit it right on the head! Full catless XPipe with proper diameter/merge design, quality intake, pulley, and optimized tune will be your best bet to getting highest gains.

If there's anything we can do to clarify or share based off of the hundreds of E92 M3s that we've dyno'd, I'll do what I can to help.

I would like to quote this and give you guys update. So I recently installed the AFE intake and I am planning to run on E85 with the AFD kit. AFD E85 kit and pulley are on the way. After all those mods are completed I am going to test it before and after on dyno and I will share it in here.
