Recaro seat coding question.

Getting Recaro sportsters in my e90 (2011). Does anyone know if the front airbags still deploy and seat belt tensioners still work in case of a collision when the seat airbags and occupancy sensors are coded out for the seat coding.

Thanks for the help.

The way I understand it is if you code out the warning then the passenger front air bag will deploy regardless if someone is in the seat or not. Obviously you are losing your side air bags since they are in the OEM seats.

Not too familiar with the seat belt question but I believe if you keep the oem seat belt receptacle with that little explosive canister pack on it then it might work.

The seatbelt pre-tensioners will work if they are still attached.

Hi,
The Recaro Sportster seats does come with seat side airbags. (option).
Didn't BMW have them in their performance seat offering?

Cheers,
