Aftermarket Performance spoiler with 3M tape

Can you post pictures of your install?
Aftermarket Performance spoiler with 3M.

It seems some people on the forum are saying NO GAPS with .45" thickness 3M tape....when installing aftermarket P spoiler.
When I look at some of the pics...I see Gaps.

I am aware you can probably install OEM Performance spoiler with 3M tape because the underside/mounting surface is completely different. There is recess for the tape to fit into... Aftermarket there is no recess.

So for the folks with aftermarket PS spoiler, can you post your pictures?

Debating to go with BETALINK for aftermarket spoiler.
I would go with OEM,,...if one existed.. My is E93.

Thanks all

3M tape has held mine in place with no issues for 3+ years, through storms, car washes, and all.

Doesn't really look like there's any fitment gap on mine.

You can always stretch the 3M to make it a bit thinner. Don't over do it tho!

Thanks for the pics Ali. I do see the gaps at the end of spoiler and the rear side. Not too noticeable...but present. Also the thickness of the tape is also visible on the side profile pic.

Appreciate u taking the time posting the pic.

There are different thickness of 3M tape you can purchase. They go from paper thin to as thick as a small stack of paper. If you're getting a spoiler that doesn't have recess for the tape, you probably want something like this:

I think it's the thinnest tape 3M has on offer. Ideally, you might want it slightly thicker to account for surface imperfections:

You won't need betalink. The spoiler doesn't catch so much air that can rip the 3M tape off with just air alone.

Any suggestions which specific aftermarket spoiler has the best fitment? Preferably one in nice carbon fiber. So many available on eBay for cheap but can't pull the trigger not knowing how each fits. TIA.

Use windshield glue, it sticks flat and will hold forever.

When I get My trunk spoiler from e92-lighting I’ll post photos of product with install.
