Anyway, I am very cautious about leaving car keys to anyone here as I have heared various horror stories. Most common occurance is that the parking guy does a nice round of Athens instead of the corner before parking your car. And the ride isn't a gentle one on these cars as you can imagine...
Ah those places near Glyfada? Now everything makes perfect sense to me!

if your valet doesn't know how to drive a lowered car and/or 6mt
you're dining at the wrong place

Back on topic, I recently let the valet park and I just remembered the remaining gas mileage. If they've floored it, it was easily noticeable.

I had to one time at Hotel Derek in Houston because it was valet only. Gave the guys extra to keep it close. Now I take the IS250 to places that require valet.

My dad's Greek, I spend some time in Athens every year or two.

I love it, would love it even more if my Greek language skills were better!

I like parking on the street at some restaurants bc its just easier access to the car, but valet always comes in use, but then again, you do leave your car with the dealer right? I'll tell u one thing, they treat them the worst. I saw a guy busting a left turn as if he was on the canyons with an e46. When our cars are not in our presence, we'll never really know.

the palms hotel story is pretty damn freaky! got me thinking!

Valet parking?!?... Over my dead body!!

I am still fit to walk a few blocks if needed.... so thanks, but no thanks.

I actually remember, on my way back from Greer, SC where I had picked my car, we stayed at a Doubletree in DC where there was a valet....long story short I told them no way... but gave them a good tip and they watched the car in the garage. Nothing (bad) happened and everybody was happy.

Now, does my GF think I am crazy when it takes me 15 minutes to find a good parking spot....sure. But nobody is perfect and she loves me with my flaws just as much as for the (few?) good things.

Problem I have with that guy's issue is Valvet is a bailment, the valvet company are bailees and are required to return your car in the same condition you gave it, therefore the Casino should have paid all the damages.

For those of you not Lawyers:

Bailment is the rightful possession of goods by one who is not the owner. The true owner is a bialor, the person in possession is a bailee. The Bailee has the duty to care for the goods and deliver them to the owner as agreed

"If [person] leaves the keys with an attendance, who gives [person] a ticket identifying the car for redelivery, a bailmet is created."

I will never let valet near my E92.

A few days after delivery of my 135i I took my girl for her Bday to China Grill down at South Beach, the parking is above the restaurant in the same building all I can hear is screeching tires, pushing the cars up to the space. I realized they had damaged it after a car wash the next day, the driver side mirror vein had a wall rash WTF !!!!! I was pissed !!! I baby my car to have some idiot become a stunt driver with my car. Lesson learned, plus they don't even care, because you are not going to microscopically inspect the car, when you pick it up, in front of your chick.

There is your problem right there...you should have pulled up in your boat to China Grill, no valvet there

Plus the girl would have been more impressed pulling up to China Grill on a boat than a 135i

I would give my car to the valet as long as they took responsibility. Unfortunately, the ticket always says that they are not responsible for the cor or it's contents.

Why would I give my car keys to them if they are not going to take responsibility....

I give the valet a $20 and I park it myself right in front of the place.
