How Rare? E90 M3 ZCP W/slick top

Can anyone chime in with some real stats on how rare these actually are? Specifically an E90 with ZCP and a slick top.

1501 E90 ZCP built on total - see link. Not sure where to find option/volume info.

According to the sticky production data pdf, there were 1220 total ZCP E90s (all 2011 of course). Total E90 2011 imported was 2170. Approximately 27% of LCI E90 production are slicktops, so without SickFinga chiming in with the exact production breakdown, we can guesstimate that about 585 2011 E90s are slicktops. Some subset of that value have ZCP also.

I have a slicktop 2011 E90 M3 6MT non-ZCP, and SickFinga confirmed that there were 237 2011 E90 slicktop 6MTs imported, some a subset of those have ZCP perhaps a bit more than 1/2 of them.

There may be a bit more slicktops in 2011 model year than LCI overall, as the estimate on overall LCI numbers pointed toward something like 180 6MT 2011 E90 slicktops, but SickFinga confirmed that number to actually be 239.

That thread in maxbimmer forum I linked above might actually have the data buried within it someplace.

Regards,
Chuck

I'm finding that people actually seem to prefer the slick top over sunroof overall. Maybe it's the look and rarity

I had to have a slicktop for helmet clearance. The sunroof takes up a ton of headroom not to mention adding ~45lbs of weight at the highest point in the car. I would have given anything for my E39 M5 to have been available here in the US with a slicktop (like everywhere else in the world) as even without a helmet in that car, headroom is tight -- with a helmet I have to create a crazy seat position just to fit inside. Although I no longer use that car for track/autox for many years now. It's about as bad in the E90...I've had an E90 330i ZSP since new, and it's a super tight squeeze with a helmet to get inside (uncomfortable). I love the slicktop E90 M3.

Yeah I know they do I was just saying for me personally. Now on the F80 a sunroof car will be rare.

Yes there are, but the percentage non-sunroof data is quoted in terms of either pre-LCI or LCI cars in that stick pdf file; hence the reason I was referring to LCI at all.

I myself also an owner of a non-ZCP 2011 slicktop 6MT!

http://www.m3post.com/forums/showthread.php?t=863761

There is about 952 LCI Slicktops (DCT/6MT combined). A total of 1220 ZCP (with or without sunroofs) E90s so you can imagine that pool is very small. I believe there is also 355 ZCP 6MT E90 in the US.

I had a slicktop E46 IB Comp 6spd, hell of a car and resale was definitely there. But, with my E90, I love having a sunroof. I wouldn't pay a premium to not have it for this chassis, E46 I would

Personally, I would pay a premium for a slicktop on appearance alone. That piece of tinted glass looks ugly on light color cars including mine. The benefit of less weight on the roof would be icing.

Guess Id have to see in person. One lighter, I could see what you're saying and even on my car, sure slicktop might have more appeal to the eye. But, the benefits for me, at least as a daily driver and trip car, its nice having

It's only nice for the fellas over 6" tall for headroom. I thought I was going to miss the sunroof, I don't mind it one bit.
