ACM/Bypass Muffler Mod for only $225 at Muffler King!

For the past weeks, I've been contacting numerous shops in the Seattle area and asking if they could do the ACM/bypass muffler mod for my e92. I was quoted around $500 at most shops and even $1200 at one of them!?!? I finally gave Muffler King in Kirkland a call, and Tim quoted me $200 on the phone. Their service was fantastic and they even painted the welds! The total came to $225 with the muffler off the car. I thought this was a fantastic deal, so I just wanted to share just in case anybody is in the same boat I was.

120 at a muffler shop in maple valley. I did the prep work and brought the muffler in for welding.

225 is a good deal, especially if you don’t want to mess with it.

I'm going to give them a call on Tuesday, this seems like a good bet. Thanks for the info.

The mod you're talking about is effectively a straight pipe, bypassing the central chamber, right?
Would they do the regular OEM mod?

Yes. You are correct. They would definitely do the regular OEM mod, but the price would probably be different.
