test pipe install

I was under the car today and notice the clamp for the test pipe goes where there is a hanger. Is the hanger not used anymore if one were to install test pipe?

Dont't think your engine will blow up if you leave it off. I've had a few pipes and some don't have the mounting tabs for the hangar.

I never felt or heard anything to be concerned about without it.

The hanger is not 'needed' anymore, per instructions, but as a diy'er when I did mine I found a way to reinstall it. I thought the exhausts were a bit loose and was paranoid of new noises afterwards. I simply bent the hanger a little then flipped it when reinstalling.

I just went to work today and scraped the living hell out of it. I looked underneath and saw it kinda drooping. I was only able to clamp one side and left the other side free floating. Did you guys weld the test pipe or did you use the clamps that came with it?
