Thanks for the warm welcome guys, appreciated.

Reading about the dreaded 'Rod bearing' on here and it sounds v scary... I'm hoping mine doesn't start developing anything, it has 6 months BMW warranty left.
The car is on 23k miles.

Worth renewing?

Regarding the AMG, it's a little beast, it's had the Kleemann treatment - 413HP & 576nm TQ. and sounds fantastic.

The M3 and the AMG are two different cars, straight line my AMG will take my M3 out.
Driver involvement and feel I prefer my M3.

Congratulations on 2 fine cars. As you have no doubt deduced, the M3 was never designed for straight-line acceleration (the so-called stoplight grand prix) since the engine needs to be kept at the upper ranges of its operating band to really put the power down, but on a winding road the balance and steering feel are sublime. As long as the engine is above 4,000 rpm there is as much power as anybody will need, and the sound and response are both superb. Enjoy your cars and welcome to the forum.

Thank you bro.
You're correct once the M3 is wound up at the high rpm it's very quick and will keep up with most things on the straight, show it some bends and that's where the M3 becomes alive!

I love M mode

I'm enjoying the beast, just a bit concerned about the reliability of these cars...

Beautiful Cars OP! The Rod Bearing issue is not as common as it seems. Doing oil changes every 4-5k miles seems to prevent it. That being said, I would definitely renew the warranty, just to be safe.

Enjoy it! Do you plan on doing anything to it soon?

Many thanks for the welcome guys.

Warranty will be renewed when the time comes.

Loving the car so far, regular servicing is on the card.

Hi mate,
Not really, I'd like a bit more noise from the car, maybe an akrapovic in the future? but other than that I'm keeping it stock.... For now

Keeping on top of servicing regularly is my main priority.

As you say regular oil/fluid changes 5-7k is what I plan on doing.

Do you feel any difference after adding the BMC Air Filter?

Do you hear more induction noise?
