Engine flush

Does the forum recommend using an engine flush prior to doing an oil change? If so which one?

Never heard anyone doing it, not even sure what it means mate. Regular 5k miles oil change should do the trick...👍

I've used them on my much older BMW's with decent results. Usually I have a reason to use the product.

What makes you think you need an engine flush product?

I have used the liqui moly stuff. Can’t say it makes any difference. It would probably help a neglected engine that has a bunch of sludge in it from failing to do regular oil changes when using conventional oil.

If a full synthetic was used and changed regularly, absolutely no need. Now if you have been using dinosaur juice and not changed the oil, that's another story. I remember tearing down engines that had run Quaker State that looked like a crude oil tar pit inside!
