I decided to visit a dream spot to live with no houses for sale... I didn't even drive through the neighborhood to see if there were any houses for sale that aren't listed because I was having a little too much fun. Water ski communities are amazing. I didn't like how the guy installed the UUC wing so I'm wingless now, and the new windshield visor is black rainbow sparkle but you can't really see it in the shade.

Well turns out some shit almost did fall off, but thank god this happened because it makes me feel better about having a little mar or marks I already put on the back glass while polishing for the first time... lol. Windows are cheap and learning is priceless...

Just drilled a hole the same size as the thick part of the cable

I threw these little plastic covers on from Turner where the cowl stuff used to be and had to find some special hardware but despite the confusion I'm very happy with those... definitely a lot of weight savings there and the washer fluid container removal

What happened? You weren’t happy with your gutted car??? I feel every ounce of weight savings and basically so amped up every time I drive it, it barely leaves the garage. Still saving up for the upgrade diff and suspension components before going back on the track… big numbers

felt it also but wasn't worth it overall only way would do it again is for a dedicated track car that only sees the track
driving on the street just ruined the car track is a different story

I have a similar “ruined” sentiment, but it’s that the track ruined street driving. I see no appeal to driving any sports car on the street. It’s just boring without being an asshole or getting arrested. I’d get more enjoyment washing it than driving.

Which results in me tracking said car. And then I’m like “well it really should be a race car because this street thing ain’t working” and the viscous cycle continues.

Well said. Sports cars became less enjoyable to drive on the streets around 2005-2010. Last car I really enjoyed driving on the street was the e46 M3. The S2000 was fun but hitting the 8-9k rpm redline made it close to being in the ahole driving category. Yes, the track thing is a slippery slope that gets you every time. However, all you of the track car mods are worth it in the end when you’re actually out on the track and you just learn to live/deal with the street compromises.

Being in Boulder CO, I live adjacent to many mountain canyon roads. There were fun until I went to a track. Plus we have cyclists and lots of folks recreating that a loud car buzzing the canyons is still pretty dick. Of course it happens all the time…

Edit: I fully recognize the bratty / privilege of this statement.
