S65 oil pump torque settings
Hi all I’m in the process of rebuilding my m3 s65 engine after it spun a rod bearing I’ve replaced the crank and on rebuilding I’ve stripped the oil pumps and cleaned out but can’t find the oil pump bolt torques that connect the two half of the pump together and also the Allen head oil pressure release valves torques I’ve tried Googling and can’t find anything and tried downloading newtis and ista to no joy so any help would be much appreciated

According to BMW the oil pumps are not serviceable components, so you won't find these specs listed in BMW repair instructions. They are replaced if faulty. You can usually go by typical torque specs for their associated thread sizes.

NASA has actually tested to measure the amount of torque required to strip the parent material threads in 6061-T6, 2024-T6 and 7075-T6 with various thread depths. The stated purpose was to develop a torque chart to replace their "hand tight" or "wrench tight" instructions for non-critical components.
