Do not take it anywhere for anything. Learn to work on the car yourself. The e9x m3 is one of the easiest cars I've ever worked on. The only reason anyone ever touched my car is for tire installation and alignments. I do everything else.

What he said! I had very limited knowledge and have done all the maintenance and mods from bbk, suspension, subframe bushing, short shift, driveshafts, and supercharging. Mostly on jack stands in my garage. Buy good quality sockets and a 3/8" torque wrench and you're good to go!

I didn't do the rod bearings 😔. But increasingly feel confident I could've figured it out with the right amount of patience.

Saved thousands of dollars and it's more fun to have intimate knowledge of your car.

Not sure if this has been posted already but diff blots on the 6mt specifically. they will break if you drive this car hard one solution is to upgrade to better bushings.

Ink blots... If you drive hard with a pen in your pocket. It will diff break. Causing blots.

Drive with a pen in your pocket? What? lol ,maybe you meant definitely break?

So you're saying he's saying, if the diff breaks put absorbent pads under it? (a joke then I take it).
Also I can't see how uprated diff bushes is going to stop the diff breaking.

Yeah I was joking. Figured silly question gets a silly answer. Diff = definitely but a play on diff=differential.

Upgrading the differential mounts reduces movement and thus reduces or eliminates breaking bolts (assuming solid aluminum mounts).

Amazing thread. A simple yet comprehensive list of all the things you want to look out for. These cars don't maintain themselves.
