Revs climb to 4,000+ RPM’s at a stop
I’ve had this happen to me twice now. 2011, DCT, Gintani stage 1 supercharger.
Both days it was chilly, but not really freezing. Around 45 degrees. Car will drive fine, go through a few traffic lights fine, but then I’ll come to a stop at a traffic light and the revs will slowly climb to 4,000+ RPMs. But, the car isn’t trying to move. The engine is just free spinning. The dash is indicating that I’m in 1st gear, but not moving. I’ll kick the gas pedal, the car will jump as the clutch engages in 1st gear, I’ll put my foot back on the brake and the problems happens again. If I shut the car off and restart, the problem goes away. Doesn’t repeat for the rest of my drive to work. No codes. I’m clueless on where to even begin. |

4,000 is a big climb. Not for nothing but I noticed that my revs were going up at a stop a few times. I finally realized my foot was covering the break and accelerator by mistake.

Definitely not that. I physically have my feet off of both pedals when I have to reach over and kick the gas pedal to get it to calm down.
