Catback and test pipe questions

Hi everyone, I have an 08 E92 M3. I have a B&B catback exhaust along with the matt schnell test pipes and ESS tune. Now I would say for sure my car is louder than stock(obviously), but when doing the test pipes I would have thought it would have a lot louder and aggressive sound. I saw a 2010 M3 with a gintani catback and no test pipes about a month ago. This car without a doubt was louder and sounded better than mine does. i know for a fact all this guy had on it was a catback because my friend works at the service dept.

This kind of raises a few questions for me…
1.Is there a difference in the exhaust pipes from a 2008 and 2010 that would cause the 10 to be louder with a catback in general?
2. Is the gintani louder and sound better than the B&B without the test pipes?
3. The only thing I can think of doing, is just going for a full aftermarket Xpipe. I guess that would give me what I want out of my exhaust. Any suggestions on best "bang for your buck" on those? I just want to ensure I do not allow my car to sound "raspy" I love deep sounding exhausts and still loud….like my E36 was with the B&B triflow exhaust!

I appreciate any info you guys would have for me! Thanks

Get a Meisterschaft GT2 exhaust - it will blow his out of the water.

The Gintani Race or Meisterschaft GT2 are probably the 2 loudest rear sections out there.

Gintani Race Rear

Meisterschaft GT2 Rear

The SuperSprint F1 Race is another system to consider as well, couldn't find any videos with just the rear section though.

Gintani Race with no cats is insanely loud. a GT2 is loud too. You have to be a person who will tolerate the decibels for extended time. For me I think it sounds cool for 10 min, then I want it to go away

a test pipe will give you some performance and add some loudness to the original sound of the rear section you choose.

2+3=5
2+3000=3002

simple.
