NEW Wheels...Opinions on Lug nuts.

Just sold my e46 m3 and got an e92 m3. 1st mod is lowering springs and 2nd is wheels. Any opinions on aftermarket lug nuts. Is there a choice lug nuts that are far superior then the rest. Any response would be appreciated. Thank you.

Buy a stud conversion and run basically any lugs you want

If you do a stud conversion, you can basically run whatever conical seat lug nuts you want. I've been using Work Wheels Extended Open-End forged aluminum nuts and they seem to do the job fine. You could go real nuts and get titanium hardware I suppose, but that can get very expensive very quickly.

Just an FYI Dorman sells the exact same Zinc coated nuts as Turner for 1/3 the price

Maybe I'm paranoid coming from England, you can't leave a pile of bricks outside your house there without them being lifted by some gypo's. I'm surprised you guys don't run keyed lugs to prevent theft even if you park your car inside 363 days a year.

Plus wheel thieves wanna be quick and quiet, hammering sockets on lugs is neither of those..

Wheel locks discourage casual theft. The pros have sets of keys to get them off.

Yes they’re sold in multiple sizes. 75mm, 90mm. 75 should be fine unless you plan on a liberty walk kit. One of the reasons to switch to studs is to easily run spacers

Technically this is not true. You can use a pick/flathead and hammer to get the socket out from the back side to reuse it. My Miata came with wheel locks and the previous owner did not have the keys, so I have actually done this before with only one socket (one locking lug per wheel). Time consuming / loud, yes. But impossible, no.
