Weight

1655kg to EU1 standard, which is 85 kg more than the E46 M3. That seems dissapointing.

Press release just added to BMW's press website.

Power/weight 3.8kg/PS which is around the same as the M3 CSL (as per BMW's figures)

Nevermind, just had to read the little symbol by the weight.
1655kg is for car, driver, and baggage. They throw in an extra 75 kg for the driver and baggage.
1655-75=1580kg, which is 3483lbs.
All is good.

It is 3483 lbs without passenger and 3648 lbs with passenger
EU standard includes the driver.
Weight, empty = 1580 kg
EU Weight (incl. driver) = 1655 Kg

Normally BMW in Europe quotes unladen weight including 90% tank of fuel and 75kg for driver and some luggage. This amounts to around 110kg, so DIN weight would therefore be around 1545kg. However the E46 M3 was 1460kg DIN.

We will need to put it on the scales and also perhaps wait for figures which represent the final standard spec in each country.

Sorry Ase, I believe the spec is EU1, it is from a German brochure.

We need to drill down the differences between US "Curb Weight" and the EU standard.....

Mang this is more confusing than Horsepower!!
