Shops that change Rod Bearings in the DMV area?

If there are no reputable shops in the area, I was thinking of going to NJ to change my rod bearings.

RRT in sterling does it I believe they quoted $2500-2900

I'll be doing it in MD with Jason, bringing him parts and just paying for labor

I trust Jason with everything that need to get done to my car. He did my rod bearings plus knocked out a few other things like fluids, spark plugs and gasket

That's actually not too bad for this area. Thinking about getting mine done very soon, as well as motor mounts.

What kind of motor mounts did you use?

hoodwink33 BE bearings give you more clearance. People usually use ARP bolts to go with BE bearings. Although, I've heard of people who used OEM bolts with BE bearings. Different torque specs.

Does anyone have contact info for Jason that they would be willing to share? I reached out to Tuning Tech, as they are near me, but they said they are not taking on any mechanical work for the foreseeable future.

RRT quoted me around $2500-2900 (Dulles)
GTPeace was around $2700 (Chantilly)

I'll be giving Sarli Motorsport a call soon for a quote as well

GT Peace does great work and are very affordable. That is where I will be doing my bearing replacement when the time comes.

off topic, but sure, let me get a new one when I get home. Don't have one with the Apex SM-10s yet. BTW, an X5 35d is a cool truck. The 328d will get better mileage, but the X5 is bigger/better.

and in case anyone is wondering, I did not purposefully get two Mineral White cars. The M3, yes, the wagon I bought used and had to take what I could get; they're had to find

I contacted Fleming Automotive in Crofton, MD and got a quote. They are around the other quotes from other places. I've read some other reviews in other threads that said they did good work so I might go with them.

Luther does good work, he's just on the other side of the world from me and I almost have to take a day off to get work done on the car.
