I've never launched my car, however, I've read on several threads that most people hold the rpm at 2.5K ~ 3k, then release the clutch (not just pop it)...and off you go

With traction off you go no where. So use MDM rev it up to 2 - 2.5K with foot on the clutch while in gear feel the clutch grabbing then drop the clutch

do not just dump the clutch. The car doesn't like that. Ease off but fast enough so that you do not ride it.

Heh, 6MT & w/ DSC turned off, if you dump the clutch, the back end of the car literally bounces for a bit before finding grip.

If you ease it out, its putting more wear on the clutch than if you just dump it and let the tires spin a bit, using the throttle to control the traction.

When you're trying to launch, definitely have to modulate both the clutch and the accelerator. If you feel like you're being easy on the clutch.....you're not doing it right.

Here's a super old thread for launching, always thought it was a good read though.
