Awesome! I have been there three times and this has just given me the itch to go back. There is an incredible little restaurant not far from the ring that serves the best Jager style schnitzel I have ever had... and BEER!

an amazing adventure, will do this some day. With the euro delivery do they arrange shipping for you or is that on you once you pick it up? Be hard to get an amazing car like this and then have to wait a few weeks for it to make it across the pond, but then again have the excitement of getting it twice haha

I was not going to risk damaging my car trying to stay ahead of it so I yielded and let him overtake (0:40 in video). Briefly, I attempted to give chase, but in the rain the Green Hell is just too unpredictable for a rookie like me to push my car to its limits.
Looked like a ghost as fast as it whizzed by and then disappeared. Congrats on a beautiful car!!

Nice pics and fire orange whip.

Mike, you ever try Fritzl's in Lake Zurich, IL? Best german food I've ever had outside of Germany.

Hope you don't mind me taking a picture of it...if I wasn't admiring it I wouldn't have LOL. Jealous that you have the Ring right there at your disposal. I was admiring your ltw configuration and blue wheels to match your side mirrors.

BMW arranges shipment for you once you drop it off at one of their designated shipping locations. Some anxiety waiting for the car to get across the pond...luckily I have another in the garage that I drive everyday to tide me over. LOL

I have not...sounds like next time I'm in Chicago or flying through I'll need to make a pit-stop. Thanks for the info.

Hey hkyplaynazn,

Awesome write up! Tiergarten is a great hotel to stay. Stayed there previous years alot of times. Sometimes Sabine came by to drink a after dinner beer Those were the good days hehe. The ring is indeed a magic place to stay. It is only 200kms drive away from my home but its getting more and more expensive....too bad.

Can i ask you what you went doing in the netherlands ?
I only wish that i once could afford a brand new m3. Really like the colour! Congratz.

Good luck. Greetz.

OP, so what are you going to do with the MW M3 you just got like a year ago now?? And what prompted the switch all of a sudden? Just buyer's remorse over DCT?

Nice M3. Nice trip. Hope you enjoyed it.

The M6 steering wheel looks so amazing. Beautiful modern design and the shift paddles also look fantastic with it. M6 is the most beautiful designed BMW yet.

Does anyone know what color that is? Because I think it looks a lot like Steel Blue Metallic from the E39 and E46.

Congrats and your M3 is the most beautiful BAR the M3 GTS. Just one thing, the rims are awful, exchange them with the ZCP (liquid black) if possible.

If I'm not mistaking, that color is the Individual Moonstone Metallic.
