Move Over - build/track thread

Getting a lot of messages regarding my "build"- so over the next few weeks I will be putting together this thread and document as best as possible.

I will have a specific segment on my 1/1 custom headlights since StripclubDJ has a keen interest in them

For now, here's a few pics of how the car sits before my event at Barber this weekend. Will do my best to keep it this way!

1 of 2* super custom Saturday morning special headlights* with the bg halos and black reflectors/shrouds.

Idk about you but that project was a frustrating experience for me.

So I helped a friend with a similar project years ago, so I learned the do's and dont's of it. The Umnitza rings have to be epoxied on, which the angel eye guy lights I used just need to be clipped in, which was a huge plus. It's a lengthy project but since I had some exposure to the project in the past it made it 10x easier. The first time we did it in 2016, it was a total disaster.

I also used a product called super clean which actually strips the chrome plating right off the plastic which helps in terms of prepping the material, which as we all know prep time is the most time consuming part of any painting lol.

If I did it again, I would get the lens pliers and separators from BavGruppe.

Yes, love that bike. Scooped it up for a steal during TDF discounts on pros closet in January, I had an SL7 Sworks for a brief time but sold it due to fear of riding around an 11k bike.

The pliers are worth their weight. I should have stripped the plating. The painting and getting it to stay stuck and adhering the rings did not play well with my ocd.

Are you just using this HPDE, or is the goal to move into a time attack/time trial series?
