Hope he gets a lawyer.. it's a guarantee loss of license at that speed.. the question is for how long. Hope the cop was cool and didn't write him up for a misdemeanor.

They'd threaten work project/jail time in California as well as points suspended license and a big fine hopefully Washington are more lenient.

The tweet said he was arrested for reckless. Lucky he didn't get caught in Chelan County. They would've claimed he murdered the air and sentenced him to death.

Probably got arrested and held in back of car, and then let go with a ticket. Yep, will definitely need a lawyer to get it reduced to a negligent or lower if he has a decent record. Bummer.

Evidently there was a large "meet" in Tacoma last night that decided it was a great idea to also shut down the Tacoma bridge and do doughnuts on it.

And if you're gonna do 147, don't let anyone see it.

I've been out several times, including today. Although I haven't hit 147 on the roads, I did have a nice romp this afternoon, manually shifting the DCT. The speed limit may have been exceeded.

When the lockdown first started, I was still going to work. Live in Tacoma, work in Kent. I-5 was wide open. I've never seen one single Trooper on that section of I-5 for the last 3 years shooting radar at traffic. Why? Because it's a 60 MPH limit, and you're lucky to be doing 30 during morning commute. Anyway, it was about 5 a.m., there was still traffic but everyone was going 75 or so. I move to the far right lane and decided to throw it down a few gears and floor it. 75-105 takes just a few seconds. F'n Trooper in the median right there using radar I'm assuming since I saw him come after me.

Slammed on the brakes and did my best to blend in between a couple of semi trucks. I'm pretty sure my Borla ATAK is very loud at 8,000 rpm but pretty docile at partial throttle 3,000 rpm.

Trooper came up next to me, slowed down to match my speed and zoomed off. My heart was in my throat.

Whatever he was thinking, I don't know. Can't say I learned my lesson, but have definitely make sure I'm not the fastest car on my commutes anymore.

I only took a few weeks off due to the virus so have been commuting most of the time. Every single day, I see several cars pulled over each way to and from work.

They're out there....

I just drove out to Hoodsport and back from Bellevue yesterday. I got on 5 south and had people on my ass if I dropped below 75. Saw a trooper around Fed Way on the shoulder, everyone was easily 78-82 and no one slowed even one mph. Trooper never moved. Saw one go by northbound at about 120, but looked to be en route not in pursuit.
The 101 was a nice drive, not a soul on it.
