2011 E92 M3, 85000 miles. Stock, 6 speed MT. "Pristine" (maybe?)

$28,800. Price seems a little steep. The thing that really gives me pause, (and bear with me I'm still learning about these cars) is that the owner advised me that the rod bearings, motor mounts, and throttle actuators are all original. At this type of mileage isn't preemptive replacement of these items a really good idea? Isn't that amount of work $5,000+?

more like $3k to change to above listed items. But throttle actuators are not really preventative maintenance. He probably stated that because so many people were asking if it was done already.

Yes, bearings should be done as preventative measure. I would probably try to get this car for $26k if it were me.

It's spec'd nice, but it's Alpine White (which is an awesome color on that car, but it's not particularly rare). Milage is not "high" but it's no longer a low milage car by any stretch of the imagination.

It's a $25k car.

I just picked up my 2010 six months ago for $26,400 from a dealership with 10k less miles (no manual trans, but rarer color), while committing a major sin... I paid asking price.

I would definitely do rod bearings (and motor mounts at the same time). Looking at $2500 or so. Forget throttle actuators until one bank goes, then do both.

Few notes about that ad:

- There are no such thing as LCI headlights. He is correct about 2011 having LCI tail lights.

- CIC Nav is 2010+ not 2011+ as the ad states.

- it says "no ball offers" so if you were hoping to trade sexual favors for the car, you're out of luck.

- it says he likes driving his other cars more, so he's likely experiencing some type of chronic head trauma.

What is the carfax like? How many owners, any accidents? Maintenance history?

A dealer near me recently had a fully optioned '11 e93 mineral white with 72k miles.

Carfax- 2 owner with immaculate dealer maintenance history, no accidents, serviced per BMW on the mile it was due.

They were asking 22.9k

I understand there's less of a market for e93 vs e92 but there's also less e93's. Also this is private sale vs dealer sale.

Is a 3-4k premium for a coupe (over a e93) normal?

edit: bimmer.work is a good site for running a VIN to see the option packages these cars have. For example, the seller states it has the Cold Weather Package but I only see the heated seats option code (which can be purchased outside of the cold weather package), I don't see the pass thru code or the headlight washer code, nor do I see the washers on the front bumper, so I don't think this car actually has the cold weather package. Obviously not a huge deal at all in this case, I only mention it because the site is very helpful looking up the options since most sellers don't know.

also try running EpicVin.. shows previous sales prices, previous ads for when it was sold last, and many good things not on a Carfax. only like $9.
