Brake pad wear sensors bypass?

Hey guys, I've been searching and coming up empty on this.
Sorry if I missed it , if already posted.

It was easy-peasy on my Z4MC because the sensors are the old straight short style.

I know the E9X M3 are the resistor type, plus I've heard that there is a secondary algorithm that will still trigger a pad wear warning.

Since this warning is totally meaningless for us track junkies....
Is there a work around in coding so that we don't have to go through the reset procedure??

TIA

I keep the sensors zip-tied to the mount at the strut pinch bolt. I've had my stoptechs on for nearly 50k miles and it hasn't freaked out yet

Cut the end off, strip the two wire ends, twist them together and cap the twisted pair.

i cut, spliced, and soldered mine just after the part that snaps into the plastic holder. it sticks out an inch or two, but it is out of the way. no problems or returns yet.

Ive spliced mine and its showing 70k till the next brake service haha

Very easy to do, just cut them until you see the two wires exposed. Strip, twist, solder, e-tape/heat shrink/whatever, and securely zip tie it out of the way.

Yeah, the splice method is the way to go, that roastbeef and others have described. When I first had my BBK installed, I went through the headache of the computer not registering the new brake sensors that I had tied off. It would get in its head that I needed to change brake pads every 100 miles or so no matter how many times I reset it, despite the brake sensor being in perfect condition.

Once I did the splice and reset it, the computer has never bothered me since.

The trick to reset after you've triggered the brake pad warning is to plug in an new sensor. The car knows when you still have the same sensor so just resetting it doesn't work.

Oh, and the car counts down mileage and it'll eventually throw a warning based on mileage even if the sensor isn't triggered.

Tried replacing with completely new sensor (even though this one was also new). Did not work. Splice worked np. This was giving me fits for months before I found the right solution.

Weird. I spliced mine and was never able to get the light to go off. Now I just zip tie.
