Bah I'm sick and tired of all these trust fund kids driving exotics and having these rediculous emo issues. Looking at M3 and can't drive a standard? Sisters will be driving it too? Speaks volumes.

NP I've been drinking the hateraide today. I f*cking hate automatics. They are the scourge of the roadway. I wish they would do away with SMG auto shift function too - to discourage this kind of buyer. Go buy a friggin AMG already or a damn Audi A8 limo. Man I'm hating today.

Are you so sure you would want to force everyone to drive stick? But then you wouldn't be able to adopt your elitist attitude?

Stick or SMG in performance cars only. Drivers cars. I don't mean every car on the road.

There is nothing elitist about knowing how to drive a stick. I just don't like people buying these cars purely for status.

That's how you end up with chrome 20's on these poor cars!

it might make it harder for people to eat a big mac while sipping on a starbucks if they have to row their own, they might even have to send less text messages when the drive

....then I guess this is a bad time for me to mention I'll be getting mine with M-DCT!!!

It will be my first-ever automagic/chicktronic trans in a car. I hope I don't get bored too quickly!

That's not an automatic. But... will it have full auto mode chicktronic mode like the SMG?

And here I thought an EVO owner would know better - manual rules!

Learn to drive a stick on a small engine car like an old Prelude or something. They are easy to learn on. You can find one for a few thousand. Then graduate to a higher power car. It's not complicated. The most important thing is to go out and do it and get over the intimidation of being in the "unknown." If you never try it you will always be intimidated. It's like a fight.

Currently I drive a e46 xi, 5 speed. I owned a Honda Civic 5 speed before. Looking forward for an weekend car e46 M3 6MT or e92 M3 6MT.

Hail MT.

I can double clutch pretty well and fast, 5-4, 5-3, 4-3 but a 5-2 around the corners requires heel & toe which I've never been able to master, no matter how hard I try. Need to master that before I get on the ///M to get most fun around the twisties.

I do 5-2 and 6-2 all the time in my M3 without heel-toe. I suck at heel-toe too. Just rev that bad-boy to up to proper RPM (5k-7.5k, depending on your speed) put in the clutch and drop it in. All kinds of fun!
