PS: Apparently BMW OEM T.A.s are made by VDO and as we know those fail too. Surely some aftermarket company has solved the problems theses T.A.s have? When I researched the topic I discovered Evolve Automotive are reselling units from www. rebuild.org.uk and this is the same supplier M Power Motorsports uses (now = Euro Parts Palace) https://www.rebuild.org.uk/ and https://eupartspalace.com/shop/ .

its already been known that the TA can fail at any moment, whether it be 10k miles 20k miles..100k+ miles, just randomly. same with the rebuild units. I don't expect them to last forever you know haha. but yes they are all supplied by Jason from rebuild UK. you can technically buy the MOSFETs and the gearing to do it yourself if you know how, but apparently there is memory storage in the actuators that don't know how to reset ._., much like clearing the ram issue on the FRM.

Are there any lightweight door panels that retain speakers? IKIK, but the car is still used a little on the street and I gotta have some tunes.

Read a bit further back in the forum and saw a few people discussing the Nankang CR-S. I've just mounted these in 265/35r18 and 285/30r18 in preparation for the next track day.
A few things I've noticed so far: - 285/30r18 rear size really throws out the speedo by 10-12kms. Not a big deal but yeah bit of a shock how different this size is to stock. The final drive feels a bit higher too, goes through the gears considerably quicker. Will need to get used to different throttle and gear control. - The CR-S side walls are real stiff. I've had to adjust my coil overs down to almost the softest setting just to be bearable on the street. (this is in comparison to my last tyres Zestino Gredge 07RS). I think the stiffer side walls might actually suit the m3 better, being a weighty car and less likely to roll over the side wall. Feels a lot more responsive to smaller steering inputs, again probably the stiffer side walls. - The tyre tread design is sexy - no rim protection, could be a bad thing on street but looks really nice. - I think these tyres felt a bit vague on the first heat cycle, compared to my previous set up which were ready to go straight after mounting. Could've just been me not used to the tyre but generally felt a little slower first run. For those with experience with these Nankangs, what tyre pressures are you running hot? What tow and camber settings felt the best?

-3.3+ front camber, 0 toe front max possible caster, -2.5+ rear camber, 1/16 toe in rear, which is .1 toe i. 26psi front, 28psi rear. depending on track/weather conditions. the CR-S really needs a lot if camber up front.

Have any of you guys sold your track car before. Have a fully built st3 or TT3 car been thinking of getting rid of but also not sure what I want next. Very quick car with good parts has the tt3 record at a local track and have beaten the current lap on just a hpde at another track. Looking to see what you guys ended up getting for the car and how you went about selling. Thanks for the help guys.
Pic of the car for reference. Thanks again help is very appreciated. |
